Your government may want to sell arms and material to the enemy, so you may get killed by your own bullets.

Yeah! My brother served in the Para's.
Now he has to take med's for the rest of his life... He is still alive but he is not the man he used to be. I love more than words can say. But now he lives in squalor with mental health problem and is unable to look after him self properly… Sometimes I just wish he could be put out of his misery. Physiologically he is in a living hell.
My advice to anybody is this: If you love your brother or sister do anything you can to stop them serving in the forces. Because once there gone mentally the state just doesn’t give a FCUK!

Thankyou, tiny_lou1965's.
All I hope is that people think of the consequences of there action. But it is heartless, inhume and evil to make something seem so glorious and fun.
My brother is on nine different pills a day, if he doesn’t take them he can’t sleep and has nightmares. He drinks heavily which is what they teach you in the army to some kind of mucho man. He has little girl aged three which he loves to bits, but is only allowed access once a month. He wants to see her every day… And it kills me because he is always asking what he can do to change it.
I just want to highlight the reality of the bastards who glorify chiefs, because they don’t take the responsibility they should with people like my brother – he has many friends who are in the same boat – excuse the pun.
If what I have written helps the young to think before they jump – Then mine and my brothers’ hell is more tolerable.

The so called democracy in this country is built on brain washing the masses to consume without regard for others. Continued consumption for ever greater wealth will only make the rich, richer and the poor, poorer. One day it will end because there is a limit to what one can consume – the resource will eventually be gone.
Those with wealth rely on the poor to keep there so called possession, because without the poor there can be no rich and they know it. So keep letting them brain wash you into believing consumption is a good thing. It’s the capitalist trick – carrot and stick… You are the proverbial donkey. You are not free, you only think you are.

Im married to a serving sailor...
I read your comment with understanding and sadness. I totally agree with what you are saying,
They dont mention the bad bits as that wont get people to join up!
Join the navy, kill a few scum, it aint much of an advertising ploy, is it.
Not everyone who joins the forces will see action.
Those that join, do so at their own will...
I wish my husband would leave, sometimes, but.. it pays the bills.
But, i do agree with you, and people, why are you so Nasty!!
Maybe you have no concept of life in the Military!

Yours is not to reason why, yours is but to do or die.
When the brave souls faced certain death on the beaches of Normandy they had
a) The ability to be told to do something without question!
b) Kill another human being to protect a material life style!
What have you given up lately? Are you prepared to give up your freedom?
c) The ability to keep fighting even when the evidence points to the fact that your government has lied to get you there.
Did you get this question from one of your professors at Communist Martyr High School?
d) Your government may want a regime change because the previous murder they helped install suddenly wanted to do his own thing.
If you don't like your country or countrymen, by all means move to the mythical country that has all the qualities that you are looking for.
You and I and everyone else knows that you and everyone else of your ilk, unfortunately, would never leave the most blessed county on the planet because of the brave people in our military that provide you with all the things you love but pretend to hate.
That is why you are nothing more then a LEECHING, UNGRATEFUL, POSER!

a( women in these rogue states are "told to do something without question."
b)Your computer is part of a "material lifestyle" .ppl of other countries would like the option ,like you have.
c)governments that you favour have lied to put their nations on war footings when the need for war is true and just. Its nothing new.Dont be naive.
d)Things change, perhaps some rogue states are beneficial to the west at a particular period and a disadvantage later...so what. The upshot is the installation of democracy will mean that doesnt have to happen again.
we're making things better for all concerned.
Get off your liberal high horse and think of the benefits our soldiers are bringing to all concerned.
Opposing the mission of our armies lends comfort and support to the enemy ,ultimately increasing civilian and allied casualties.

The military of this century sure did not get off to a good start, that is obvious. The president sorta skirted some rules and played us for the fools that we are. That is our fault, we have to live with it. But respect the Citizen Soldier that answers the call.

There are plenty of people who are very grateful to the army. My son was stationed in Bosnia/Serbia/Croatia.
When he saw the atrocities committed there, he cried. Have respect.

Because people too stupid to realise in the military you are expected to obey orders would probably be weeded out in the intelligence test.
