There would be no where to run to. "every eye will see Him when He returns and every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that he is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Even satan will tremle and nbow before Him on that day. Here is something I wrote back in the Spring I think that you will be interested in it if you have read His Word and believe in Him.

Thunder In The Sky

On that great glorious, and blessed day
Like a scroll, the heavens were rolled away
There followed a flashing, bright light
No one could escape, from it's sight

Christ and the angels, rode across the sky
He was returning, from heaven on high
Coming to get, the one's He Loves
To take them home, to their mansion above

Out of His mouth, proceeded a two edged sword
It was His truth, His Holy Word
All of mankind, started to scream
Some were wishing, it just a dream

With all of the sin, mankind has done
There was no where to go, no where to run
Men were running, even hiding in caves
Even the most hard men, were not brave

They could not call out, nor look at His face
This was the end, of the human race
There was shame, in everyones heart
Of sin they had done, right from the start

Christ came in this world, born in a manger
Humble in Spirit, with no anger
At the age of twelve, He started His Fathers will
And it ended upon Calverys hill

When He accended, back to the Father
He said I will return, and mine I will gather
You will be led, by the Spirit I'll send
To help you in this life, to give you a hand

Be watching for Me, keep looking up to the sky
It will not be long, untill you are in the sweet by and by
If it were not true, I would have told you so
So always watch for me, be ready to go

You are probably referring to the apocalyptic language in Revelation which has Jesus as a rider on a white horse with a sword coming out of his mouth. It is not to be taken literally, everything in that book is highly symbolic. If John lived today he would probably have used imagery involving tanks and jet fighters but even that would be symbolic and not literally descriptive of what we will see when Jesus comes back.

Those are all analogies of spiritual things. He said in Matthew 24, "Just as the lightening flashes from the east to the west, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be."
