As I said, I'm just curious on peoples opinions on religion. I'm not saying ALL religious people are rude and obnoxious. Only the hard core ones, who are actually more rude then most people I've ever met in my life.
Obviously I can't prove that someone made up god,but I'm also not telling you to "believe". I'm saying, in Pakistan, they think by killing people (suicide bombing) you goto heaven and get 10 virgins!?!?!? Hmmm. God's pretty weird if he's down for killing his own "children". I'm saying, there are so many views on who god is and what god is.But no one knows forsure. So why do religious people go out and cult people together? Is it because they're scared that the religion is dying, and they wont know what to do without belief?

PS, I AM A GIRL.
Why are most of you feeling threatened...? Why would my opinion on the matter **** you off so much ? I'm just one person, insignifigant to the world, and your beliefs. I'm just trying to enlighten myself on why people choose to be religious and their reasonings behind it.

The definition of religion is your way of life. Many people make their choices about right and wrong based on how they feel. They may base how they live their lives on how they were raised. So, if you were reared based on a certian religious faith that would influence your thinking regarding right and wrong. But we all have the ability to seek knowledge. Where will you seek knowledge is the question. All answers to life are found in one book the Bible, John 17:3 takes about the knowledge found in the Bible.

People are selfish, greedy, prideful. I am chief among them.

MY God wants me to be with Him, yet because I am selfish, greedy and full of pride and sin, I cannot.(It would make sense that GOD, to be GOD, must be perfect, right?)
MY God made a way for me to be with HIM, by sending HIS own blood to pay for the cost of my sin; the payment Jesus made for me MAKES me right in HIS eyes, and acceptable and perfect. All I have to do is believe it, receive it and accept that Jesus is the ONLY way.
Other people, religions or cults do NOT believe this way-
So there are these massive arguments and killings from these others who think that if they destroy the Truth, or lie about it or cover it up it won't be True.
It is obvious to me that you are looking, truly looking for an answer, yet are confused by the different relifgions and their approaches. I'll tell you THIS much -

On every Mosque, written in Arabic there are verses from the Quran. One says " My name is Allah, and I have NO son."

My GOD has a son - and HIS name is Jesus.
Allah is NOT God.

When looking into the eyes of any other, realize that the spirit behind theirs comes from the same place as the one that is also you.

All awareness comes from the same place.

Those who do not exist within commonly beneficial interrelationship fail to exist.

None are exempt and religion alone will benefit no one.

Part of the problem people have with your questions is that the come across as pertaining to all people who believe in god(s) and not just the crazy ones who attack those who don't share their faith.

As to why some people form cults or similar things? Some people are just sick and/or frightened.

Religion is not dying. Many of your facts are wrong because your research is poor. I am not threatened by your ridiculous generalisations. Try asking one question at a time.
