Why seek the end? Why not basque in the present becoming?

It is like: the closer one feels to a gravity well, the stronger the pull.

I do not believe in termination or endings, only tranfers, and transductions...

Please help me understand this need to escape?

People like to make up stories about how great it will be when they're dead because they fear us athesits are right that there is just death.

It's just a grand application of "I'm telling on you when daddy comes home!". People get wrapped around what other people are doing that they don't like. Instead of reasoning their position (usually because they have no reason), they take some satisfaction in the vain belief that the end is near and "judgement" will happen.

It's not just getting away from present circumstances - it is embracing a better world that is the attraction.
