If you are a person who find difficulty in sleeping, better stay away from coffee because coffee can make you miserable of not being able to sleep. Coffee contains a stimulant called caffeine and this is the one which makes you awake. It takes about 14 hours for the caffeine to be metabolized (meaning to be removed out of the body and excreted thru urine). So the nearer you are about to sleep, the better for you not to take coffee to be able to sleep. Being not able to sleep is the unhealthy aspect for drinking coffee.
But if you are able to sleep well despite drinking coffee, perhaps it is okay. The good aspect in coffee is that it stimulates your mind, you become active as if elated, not sleepy. That is why many people when they are working drink coffee as they can think better while under its effect.

No it isn't, plain and simple. First of all, caffeine releases addrenaline, which puts your body in a state of emergency, and putting in there over and over is not good.
Also, coffee causes instability in blood sugar, which is not only a fast track to weight gain, but longer term a good way to get type 2 diabetes. There's a million things wrong with coffee, but you'll never hear of them, because our society is so dependant on it.

I've stopped drinking caffeine.. Now I drink Swiss Water Decaf.@
If you have normal blood pressure, a couple cups a day should be fine. There are studies to indicate coffee isn't as bad as once thought. Just use common sense, especially if your a kid or an older individual with high blood pressure.

Cut out the sugar and creamer and you should be fine. But its still an addictive drug for most people.
