You would not be at risk of getting Diabetes, which is in epidemic proportions today. Due to the fact that most people work a sedentary job and don't get enough exercise. They drink pop and after several years of this lifestyle they develop diabetes. You don't have to cut sugar out totally but if you don't get enough exercise try using a sugar substitute, the best on the market now is Splenda/Sucralose. Salt I don't know about, except it's bad for you if you have high blood pressure.

Sugar is very unhealthy, if you can take it out of your diet completely, YOU ROCK!! =>. But I heard that our heart needs salt (the sodium in it) to function. Of course a lot of salt is unhealthy, you just need some. I also heard that a lot of anorexic people die because of lack of sodium, that is, as I just mentioned, necessary for the heart to beat. However, if you can make sure you're taking enough sodium in your diet, you can stop eating salt. But by the way it has 0 calories, why stop eating it???

I wouldn't take salt out completely, you need that, by all means reduce it, but it is important not to entirley remove it. If you took sugar out (I assume you mean processed) then you would have a much healithier metabolism, and as long as you were eating the right kinds of foods aswell, then you'd be very healthy.

Sugar is no pro but the thing is not sugar but the amount of calories you consume. Remember, the body also makes it's own fat. Salt will also make a difference. But in any case dont use Sugar Free, it is of no use and help.

REMOVING SUGAR COMPLETELY OFF YOUR DIET WOULD MAKE YOU VERY TIRED AND SLUGGISH LIKE RAGGEDY ANN. I THINK THE PHARMACIES HAVE FREE BLOOD SUGAR TESTING GADGETS. ASK AROUND. DONT DRINK SUGARY SOFT DRINKS. A NATURAL SUGAR IS BEST FOR EXAMPLE APPLES, ETC. DRINK PLAIN WATER. DONT SALT EVERYTHING. AND IF YOU USE SALT JUST A TEENIE WEENIE AMOUNT OF IT IS SUFFICIENT. SALT MAKES THE BODY RETAIN WATER. HONEY IS NICE TO SWEETEN THINGS BUT USE IT SPARINGLY.
