Well, you know the past 9 years have been less than thrilling but at the end of 2006 I decided to take a risk and to meet a man I'd exchanged message with for a while. Was not sure I should but after thinking about it for a couple of days I eventually decided to just go for it. We meet up New Year Eve afternoon. Putting my fears to one side has meant 2007 has started brilliantly........we have already become very close and I can only see 2007 continuing to get better and better. I've concluded it is all down to a change in my attitude.

Yeah 2006 sucked bigtime, i had a horrible job and it made me spend nearly half the year on the sick with depression.

I've finally decided not to go back and things are looking up in terms of new job opportunities. Also started to run my own business doing up houses which is something I've wanted to do for years so hopefully more of that too.

2007 looks better already, have arranged to catch up with old friends that live far afield and have tickets to see a couple of my fave bands in concert to look forward to as well as planning a holiday in Amsterdam which will hopefully come off.

Some of it's down to saying yes more to stuff and stopping stuff that makes you unhappy, but luck comes into it too, you can't always side step the c**p; 2005 was a pants year that i just had to ride out and it's taken this long to do it.

Hope your 2007 is a good one. All the best!

Aye 2006 wasn't the best year for me - though if I'm being honest, I've had to learn a lot of lessons and I wouldn't change it for the world. Now, my head is screwed on completely and 2007 is the start of the rest of my life! :-D

The whole idea of a crummy year is how you think about it. First off--no one does it to you--you do it to yourself--this you have to admit. How you handle it all is up to you. If you allow bad stuff to entere your life--it will always be there. If you work hard at having a good life--it will happen---notice I said work hard. Whatever is causing you a problem you need to get away from or change it somehow---or just move on. Better job, better friends, better hobbies or clubs, better social life---you have to change it. If you don't you cannot complain...You don't mention what happened or your age---but get past the bad and start working on making it better. Good luck---happy new year

you only get out of life what you put into it....negative = negative, my 2006 was pretty ok, but i know 2007 is going to be better because i am more positive about things, make the effort and you will get rewards,
