You should get a certificate of no claims from the insurance company that you were insured under. Just phone them up or email them asking for one.

I had this problem a couple of years ago. Go to the last insurance company you was with as it should be on their file. Ask them for a written letter confirming how many years NCD you had and take that to your new insurance company.

your current insurance company has or can get it for you, typically at no charge. contact the company and not the broker/agent for this info to reduce your risk for a nuisance charge.
