Jimmy Carter brings to life Machiavelli's core thesis in "The Prince" as to why God fearing peanut farming micromanaging engineers don't have a place in big pond politics.
Do you mean peace keeper or peace maker? He's neither of course. Anyone who's bothered to do just a little research into Camp David I knows that peace was achieved because Begin and Sadat made it happen and the U.S. just wrote a fat check to both sides. If all it takes for an american president to be called a Peace Keeper or Maker, then... Sadly his attempts at peace making and keeping since his Ronnie jiffy'd (creamy not crunchy) Jimmy have been as effective and shrill as Gorby.

Every peace deal Jimmy Carter ever introduced was bungled. The only exception would be the one with Egypt, a country no longer openly hostile toward Israel, but not necessarily an ally, either, and still a hotbed producing terrorist activity and feeding terrorist organizations.
So if you want to say "superfial" peace keeper, fine, but no peace is worth the work unless it trickles down to peace and prosperity in the lives of the private peoples involved, which the Jews in Israel certainly don't enjoy fully.
Peace Keeper? Saddam kept the peace more effectively!

Jimmy Cater only HOSTED the Camp David Peace accords. The Egyptians and Israelis had been negoitiationg between each other for months to reach the deal without Carter input or consultation. The US agreed to finance the peace for which we give billions to each country every year. Otherwise Carter's role was minimal.
Carter is a legend in his own mind.

Jimmy was a Peaceful man of god and probably would have been a better president in 1823 or perhaps a minister. He was peaceful to a fault.... Great in normal cases but he does not understand they want us dead. The Islamic Fundamentalists WANT US DEAD. they want a MUSLIM planet Earth and Women in BUrkas. THEY WANT US and the western world DEAD the only peace they want with us is the kind a bullet buys you.

Not really convinced on that. Didn't he say of the Vietnamese "we owe them nothing" or words to that effect as I believe the US was suppose to pay the Vietnamese compensation for the use of AGENT ORANGE which is still effecting babies being born in Vietnam today. The effects of Agent Orange are terrible!!
I still not sure if the Vietnam have ever been paid any compensation. Perhaps other people may be able to put me right on that.
Didn't the US and Britain go to war in Iraq over the Weapons of Mass destruction (including chemical weapons).
Double standards apply me thinks!!!!!!!!!!!

No, he was and still is a coward. He believes in pacification of all enemies of freedom, thinking caving in is more important than taking a stand.
