My understanding is that many women believe that there are no shy guys, and that if a guy is interested in a girl, he will always ask her out, and will always chase her if she plays "hard to get." As a man, I know this is definitely *not* true, but I'm curious what women think.

That is ridiculous. Many many men have low self confidence especially if the woman is very attractive. I can't believe woman think this. It all depends on how "keen" and attentive the girl is to the guy.

I believe shy guys might be very slow to ask a girl out that she likes, but I think he would definitely make some move if he really likes her, although they could be very slow or subtle moves.
I don't believe playing hard to get will always the the man, actually, I think a lot of man would be discouraged and put off by the hard to get, and then give up on the girl.

Of course there are shy guys, just like there are shy girls.
How to deal with those? You can tell by their body language that they are interested. And once you determine that they are, since they are shy, you make the move. You do the asking.

I believe that there are shy guys out there... Some guys are afraid to approach or ask a girl out due to the fact that they are scared of rejection... This is true to guyz who lack self-confidence...
