TMS is right. It is in Eastern Europe and has had it's borders change a few times in modern history. What used to be Hungary (primarily where Dracula lives in Transylvania) is now Romania (my grandparents are from there). It is a former Communist-bloc country that is now moving (albeit sort of slowly) to a democratic, financially-viable place. A village in Romania was featured in Borat- and the villagers sued saying they were portrayed as poor and "backward", etc.
