Employers have until 31st January to deliver them to employees. Deliver means handing them out physically or putting them in the mail. It is therefore possible for you not to get it until the first week in February.

Some employers make them available online. Check that out especially, for instance, if you submit timesheets online, things like that.

W2 forms as well as 1099 forms must be sent out by your employer no later than January 31st 2007. Sent out can mean, handed to you or put in the mail....if your employer chooses the later of the two...snail mail....don't look for your income info. until Sat. Feb 3rd at the earliest. More than likely you will get it towards the middle of the following week around Feb. 7th.
*NOTE: All 1099-Misc income information must also be sent out by 1-31-07 (it has to be mailed to the IRS by 2-28-07).

Keep in mind, ALL Documentation must be sent out to you by that date. The only acception is Form 5498 which tells you the amount of $$ in a retirement account....it only gives you basis and really does not need to be put on your current tax forms.

Good luck! and happy filing. :)
