The best place for a mother is at home with the kids. But if you need the money you have to do what you have to do. Good Luck sweetie.

It depends on circumstances, personal values, the age of the children and feasibility (financially). There are probable other factors I'm not thinking of, but I think those are the main ones.
In our case, not only was it preferable that our children have a full-time mom for the first few years based on our desire to raise our own children, but it was also more feasible. Without any marketable skills at the time on my wife's part, the cost of child care, transportation, work clothing and having to eat out more often would have completely consumed any income she would have earned by working outside our home.
She started working again when the kids got to be about 7 and 8. She works nights and I work days, so now we have more money and we still don't have to leave our kids in other people's care on a daily basis outside of school.
They're growing up to be quite mannerable, respectful, intelligent, socially well-adjusted and well-behaved for their ages.
And yes, there are sacrifices involved with having a stay-at-home mom!

That is a tough question. I think that should definitely be left up to the woman to decide. I feel that these days it is very hard for a family to make a living on one income. If it is possible and the woman decides to stay home, by all means then she should. I think that the more nurturing of the parents should be home to ensure the children are looked after. I do not think that it should be viewed by society that the woman's place is at home, that is a very wrong way to think!

Many are not good mothers so tey would be better working. some are great mothers and would be best at home teaching the children.
The rest, well who knows.

depends on the job. if shes going for a high-power career; then, no. there is not time for both. but, if she's at a job with flexible hours; then, yes.

sure, especially if she needs the money, but if her husband supports her and the children she can stay home and instill knowledge and values in the children.
