If its a normal run of the mill car,i.e Fiesta etc then go for the local newspaper or the auto trader.

I put a car for sale on yahoo cars and was bombarded with phone calls from companies offering to sell my car for me for a charge ranging from £140 to £250, never again. I will only use the local paper and a note in my windscreen in future.

By the way I ended up selling my car to some one local anyway.

Swap it for some money. Seriously, ebay is a good place to shift it, although you will get a lower price than selling it locally.
