my friend and I used to have discussions about this. We both agreed the best way to proceed would be to go to uni, spend a year or two working on our career and then get married and start a family, so I would have a couple of kids by now. It's not what I wanted for myself as I got older, I have worked in a number of countries and moved about a bit, tried a number of jobs, I have been to uni, and back to uni. I am now settled with a partner, but no plans for kids just yet. I appreciate the skills and experience that I have gained through the life I have led, my only regret is that, despite training as a teacher I have yet to find an employer to recognise that, and instead work in a pub. Life gets more complicated as you get older, and you have to appreicate what you have, and decide whats most important to you. I'm living in a really bad place to get teaching jobs, and have no doubt if I were to move away I could get work, but now I feel that my life with my partner and our home is more important than my career, but I hope the opportunities will open up to me at some point. Veering off the subject somewhat. sorry. I guess my point is that you expect it all when you are younger,especially with so much publicity given to celebrities and their lifestyles, but in reality for most of us that's not possible. Life is more about being happy with what you've got, than acquiring what you haven't, that's the trick to being happy

No - I've become too practical to be doing what I wanted to do when I was younger...
