What are all the foot high plastics fences for that weave in and out of the fields along the A55 near Chester?

They look wierd. miles and miles of plastic sheeting made into a 12" fence that go all over the place.

Sounds like they're there for the purpose of erosion control, to avoid runoff
from fields when it rains. Why don't you call your highway comission and
ask.

They are protection against snow blowing over the road, stop drifting.
