A movie reviewer called it a slasher/horror film for Christians.
Except that horror movies tend to actually be emotionally engrossing. The real terror with that piece of hyper-violent kitsch is that some people think it's the Truth, instead of one man's version of one woman's visions.
The amount of film time given to brutality is sickening. That's not s&m, it's vicious cruelty. So much for a loving God.

I would not say porno. It does indeed contain major S&M themes . Other chapters of middle eastern tales and legends are also quite hot.
This is a classic litterary technique in works of fiction to attract and please readers.

I've never watched it and have no desire to - I don't find it entertaining to watch anyone being tortured and maimed. Sounds like a snuff film to me, yep, pornographic violence!
