I know a lot of Muslims are going to say this is untrue, but the al Hajrul Aswad, the meteoric rock that's in the Ka'aba, was what started off the cult of al Lah, aka Hubal, the Moon God; which had the Jewish Tribe of the beni al Quraish, to which Mohammad belonged, divide itself when many of them became the Official Keepers of the Ka'aba.

Mohammad, himself, was from that faction.

The meteor hit near Mecca and the People first took it as a Sign of God and enshrined it in the original Ka'aba, aka Bait'ullah, or House of al Lah, who later was transformed into Hubal, the Moon God, along with his daughters - al Lat, al Uzza and al Mannat..

Mohammad, himself, revered and kissed the stone and all Hajis are expected to go around the ka'aba 7 times and kiss the al Hajrul Asad and perform all the rituals of the old cult, where the Haj Pilgrimage [so called after the Stone -al Hajrul Aswad] was also one of the Pillars.

Mohammad borrowed heavily from his Jewish and Pagan roots to make the Koran!!!!

Oh, Allah! Save this ignorant fool who claims to have been a Muslimah once upon a time!!... When a real Muslim can very easily see that she never did practice Islam or understand its truth!... Oh, Allah, the God of all false gods, the King of all kings, the Creator of all livng and non-living things, I humbly and sincerely ask You, in Your Holy Name, to bless this "ex-Muslimah" with Guidance from You, bring peace, happiness, success into her life, make her among Your beloved and righteous followers to whom You have guaranteed Eternal Bliss, Paradise, in Your Holy Name.... Oh, Allah, bless everyone else here on Yahoo! Answers who make false claim that You are a moon god when they have absolutely no proof whatsoever...

Allah is the Arabic name for God. God YOUR creator, like it or not; He created the moon and if He wishes to make the moon His residence, you've no right to tell Him to live somewhere else.... Silly!!!! He can live in the Heavens, cause He created the Heavens, or He can live on the Earth, cause He created it; He can live at Bin Ladin's house if He wishes cause He is the One who helped Bin Ladin (and you) get the house! He is the One who gets to decide where YOU live, not the other way around.
I can only pray that you will someday realize and accept God's truth and stop following the misguided people.

I read that Mohammed said that God's name was in the book of Job in such and such a place. They claim that the name Jehovah is in that place. And that Allah only means God. Could it be that we both believe in the same God. That would mean that two and a half billion people believe in the same God. I don't know, but I suppose we aught to fight about it, don't you. In the name of (no name), 'come, let us reason together." There might be other things we could agree on. P.S. Don't listen to 'Christians', read the bible. I assume here that you believe in that bible also. Your long posting was, and still is, excellent. I only disagree with one thing of importance. The word hell has been taken out of the Hebrew part of the bible because it has the double meaning of hell and the other, like in English and Greek, of the grave. Isn't that grave enough? Another interesting point is that: doesn't Islam teach the man has to perfect the earth and control others? I believe the essence of Christian thought boils down to man must correct himself and then the world will be perfect. Even that correction we can't do ourselves, but the spirit of God will lead us into all truth, even the deep things of God and the knowledge we see, know will help us do right. Love ya.

Cats Steve was born a white Christian but conversed to the muslim Faith.
When Stevens nearly drowned in an accident in Malibu in 1975, he reports having pleaded with God to save him. Stevens described the event in a VH1 interview some years later: "I suddenly held myself and I said, 'Oh God! If you save me, I'll work for you.'" The near-death experience intensified his long-held quest for spiritual truth. He had looked into Buddhism "Zen and I Ching, numerology, tarot cards and astrology", but when his brother David gave him a copy of the Qur'an, Stevens began to find peace with himself and began his transition to Islam. He formally converted to the Islamic faith in 1977 and he legally changed his name to Yusuf Islam, saying that he "always loved the name Joseph" and was particularly drawn to the story of Joseph in the Qur'an.
Following his conversion, Yusuf Islam abandoned his career as a pop star. Song and the use of musical instruments is an area of debate (considered prohibited Haraam by some) in Muslim jurisprudence and is the primary reason he gave for retreating from the pop spotlight. At one point he wrote to the record companies asking that his music no longer be distributed, but his request was denied.

In 1981 Islam founded the Islamia Primary School in Salusbury Road in the north London area of Kilburn; after that he founded several secondary schools, and devoted his energy to providing an Islamic education to children and to charitable causes.

In 1985, Islam decided to return to the public spotlight for the first time since his religious conversion at the historic Live Aid concert, inspired by the famine threatening Ethiopia. Though he had written a song especially for the occasion, his appearance was skipped when Elton John's set ran too long.

you know quite well that Muslims believe no such thing. Why don't you read the Quran and find out the truth? If you don't agree, fine, but stop with the insults to our religion. I have not seen any Muslim in this forum insult others, so at least show the same courtesy, it would show some class on your part.

The muslim god is the same as the christian god.
He is a shared fictional character in famous middle eastern tales and legends called the bible and the quoran.
