Will you lose your faith, if you are still here? I may or may not be, as I might be in Heaven by then, And yes I am almost 38 but there is not garuantee of tomorow right? My sisters friend died in a car crash two years ago and she was only about 22. And if I am in Heaven then the timing of the rapture will not worry me as I will be in Heaven already. But IF you are still alive and have not carked it, would you lose your faith and be disapointed. Me I would be very suprised if Jesus did not raptue the church within 20 years.

Not all Christians believe in the rapture doctrine of the Left Behind authors.

What is important is to know that there will be 2 judgments.

The first judgment is when we will all be judged by Jesus at the moment of our death which for everyone could be from now to 100 years from now depending on the current age of the person and whether they die young or old.

The second judgment is when Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead. The ones who had already died and had been judged will be given the same judgment that they had at the first judgment.

Jesus returns at the end of human history, He does not return 1 1/2 times.

The doctrine of the rapture was invented by a preacher named John Darby in the 1830's. Before that, no one ever even thought of it.

My condolences to your sister for her loss.

i have self assurance Jesus might want to probably go back contained in the subsequent two decades. like you suggested, there are a approach of prophetic activities happening or have handed off that element in the route of his forthcoming coming. The est. of Israel in 1948 is widely believed to be a significant fulfillment of end-time prophecy. In Matthew Ch. 24 it talks about the Gospel being preached global huge and then the suitable coming. this may really be fulfilled in our era because of the upward thrust of technologies (Apple has merely released a sparkling Lap suitable computing gadget that fee really $one hundred and change into made to be offered to third global international places - those laptops have computerized get entry to to on the spot internet - this may set the degree for commonplace get entry to to the Gospel and different such issues as a lifeless ringer for the Anti-Christ). the full Flood in Asia in 2004 and the devastating Hurricanes in 2006 might want to be parallel to Jesus' truth that it would want to be like the "Days of Noah." Christians, pay interest to the global scene. different religions have self assurance were contained in the suitable-cases, even atheists imagine the global is coming to an end. In earth technology type (college direction) I realized that by 2050 our worlds significant factors will be depleted (clinical study practice this) if not something is performed about it. keep your eye on Israel and the activities taking position in Iran. Many Muslims have self assurance that their version of the messiah (Mahdi) will come quickly and convert the global to Islam. it truly is the reason the Iranian Pres. spouts off like he does, because he believes he's on a divine project. The Catholic church (i'm not Catholic) has a chain of prophecies that describe the succession of Popes and in accordance to this prophecy (St. Malachy's Prophecy), there are 2 popes left till the suitable. nicely sorry to sound urgent, inspite of the indisputable fact that it truly is, this is on the door. do not get scared or irritating. Get extreme for Christ because he's coming lower back.

I'm not really concerned with the rapture but with letting Him remake me in His image. Letting Him perfect love in me so that I may show God's love to others especially if they have not known the love of God. Hell is being without Him and many of my neighbors are.

Please remember that God works in his time not ours. If it does not happen in 20 years, well God is not ready for that. No I would not lose my faith. Nothing will make me lose my faith, just because God is not doing what I want him to do.

No. But if Jesus doesn't like you, baby, you'll always have a place with me.
