If you are a U.S. citizen or a resident of a U.S. Terrority than it is unnecessary for you to have your passport. Unless you will be traveling to another country from Hawaii or did something illegal and expect to flee the U.S. through Hawaii.

If you are renting a car, you will need a valid driver license.

Otherwise, a valid state I.D. with photo should suffice.

Flying to Hawaii isn't any diverse than in case you flew to declare massive apple or Florida, distinctive than that it incredibly is actual impossible to rigidity back. For a kin members flight, you only might desire to instruct a correct authority issued image identity, and a drivers license is appropriate.
