If a young child is tired & they lie down for long enough they will fall asleep. Tell your child it is quiet time & read a book or tell your own storey but don't mention sleep. This one worked very well for me every time & my children usually fell asleep within 15 minutes.

Are you talking about a toddler or preschooler not wanting to take a nap? If this is what you are asking tell her she has to take a nap and firmly but gently make her stay in her bed. Usually they fall asleep even when protesting.

Have a short bedtime routine say time for bed no choices no options, if she keeps getting up the first time say it bedtime after that just keep putting her back to bed but say nothing.
