I agree with you on the Rorke's Drift one, defending the Empire still wearing the red and white uniforms.
Operation Market Garden - 1st British Airborne Division being surrounded at Arnhem and still managing to escape across the river to rejoin our troops, that's style.
As an longbow archer in Henry's army against the French at the battle of Agincourt.
But my main choice would have to be the Napoleonic campaign, as a rifleman 95th Regiment, as a best man and a sharpshooter.

I would have liked to have fought with the 82nd Airborne division during World War II. Fighting at Rourkes Drift againist the Zulu would be like me wanting to have fought at the Alamo; maybe, with a gattling gun.

If you were in the army like me you would think that's a strange question to ask considering how bad Iraq is at the moment. But i would have to say the war against Gaul that the Romans fought in.

I would have fought in the war of 1812 - 1814 since that was the only time that Canada was invaded. Guess who invaded us???
After countless deaths, that was ended in a stalemate and Canada was not taken over by the USA.

Thats a bit of a cheat, since you know they won. If I had to pick, I'd say the Roman Army when they took Cstephon, rape, pillage, plunder and fun.
