A normal shot glass is 1.5oz, thereby filling 2/3 of the shot glass would result in 1oz.

The shot glasses at my restaurant hold 2oz. The standard ranges from 1.5-2 oz. Though I have seen smaller and larger...

"Once ounce" means a two-ounce glass is half empty.
