(msvcr80.dll), it has been deleted for some reason i duno, i'v copied it from a friend, but i forgot where to put it?
and if you can help please tell what it does? and what is the extension .dll means?

this dll file is installed with some software. eg. i have this file on my HP notebook in HP protect tool folder. different makes can have it on different folders. you dont need to worry about that unless you are warned about it. try reinstalling the software which is not working because of that dll. as far as OS is concerned it would be affected with it. and i think copying from other PC wont help also because that dll will be of different application.
as far as DLL is concerned it is Dynamic Link Library. this creates a link between application and features.

DLL stands for Dynamic Load Library.

As for where to put it, that will depend on what operating system you are using

have u installed the software called solid converter pdf..
if yes then this file belongs to that software..
u can paste it in your current program file path "C:\Program Files \SolidDocuments \SolidConverterPDF \SCPDF"..

normally this wont affect ur OS.. this dll belongs to some software other than the OS..

no problem will be created.. leave it as it is if u are not using that software..

dll = Dynamic Link Library

Put it in there " C:\WINDOWS\system32 "

go on a working pc
click on search...
and type the file in...
and they. see the location..
then use ur pc to put in there
