I think it's unfair to criticize teen parents even just because of the fact that they have decided to take care of their child

Age aside, being a parent is tough, but rewarding. People criticize teens for having children, because they picture teens as children. If a teen still lives at home and also has a child, society sees this as the teen giving their parents another child to take care of. Regardless of whether or not it is right or wrong, I would like to encourage you to raise your baby with the same morals that you were raised with. We all make mistakes, but you are doing to right thing now in raising your baby. Your baby is no longer a mistake but a blessing.
Don't worry about other people. I am 25 and have a three year old. I always hated it when people said, "you know what you should do..." I finally just ignored them and did my best. It is not the first time someone has criticized a young parent, and it won't be the last. Hang in there "kid".

In order to have a functioning non-chaotic society, people must have norms and rules to follow. Many people believe in our society that babies are best born into a situation where a man and woman are married and financially stable... so you, as a single teen, get the criticism from time-to-time. It could be a lot worse - society is more tolerable than it was in the early 1900's. It's the welfare of the baby people worry about. Just be glad people are thinking about your baby (it's really not about you).

" just wish that would think of what they would do if it was them that fell pregnant at a young age " Of course you do because you're jealous of them, because they were SMARTER than you to allow themselves to be put into such a position where they would risk getting pregnant. The fact is that It would NOT be me pregnant at a young age because I wasn't sexually active in my teens. I waited until I was emotionally and financially able to face the responsiblities of my actions in a capeable manner...I don't know of many teen mother's who CAN. They either have to rely on their parents to help them or the government, (taxpayers).

I am not a fan of teen pregnancy, I do not criticize though or I do not judge. since I have no idea about the situation.
but I think having sex early and out of marriage is not good and having kids early and out of marriage is even worse, a teen has to be teen not a mom
I think everything has a time.
but that is what I believe everyone is free to make his own choices...
good luck

They say empty vessels make a lot of noises..they are just trying to convince themselves that your so to say mistake of being a mother in teen age is more worse than their own. Say maybe being arrested for shop uplifting at a young age,or being in drugs possesion etc.

cause teen mothers always end up on welfare/axis taking my hard earned money because you made a mistake. I shouldn't be paying for peoples mistakes. If you pay on your own with no help then OK your alright. Its just a bad choice and it keeps you from succeeding in school.

People love to mind other people's affairs and not theirs. They are afraid to look at the mirror and see their own faults.

Because it's so much easier in human nature to point fingers than to step in and help.
