I have a brother in jail for 5 years and i want to travel with him. Hes 26,im 17 in 11th grade. I have another brother that signed up for boot camp.(not as a career.) I want to join him after high school finishes but i also want to be back in time to start life as a drifer with my other brother. Is there a way i could do it all? I also know that i might not see my brother in BMT/Military at all if i sign up also, but im open to adventure.

Alright thanks for your drifter hating comments but for love of both brothers i want to walk along side them on a path to self-awakening is how i like to put it.I realize joining the army for this reason is a bad reason to most but whats going on in my mind is 'But you had best intentions in mind while doing it'. How would you like to go along side a brother you love through a self altering experiance? It would bring together the strongest family bonds you could imagine and thats what im after. Call it wrong if you like.

I'm sorry to say that if you go to boot camp, you are locked in for several years. You don't just go to boot camp and when it's over go back to regular life. I guess if you joined now you could do 4 years and then get out. Chances are you won't see your brother at boot camp but you could be stationed in the same area. You never know. Just remember your enlistment time begins after boot camp so once you 4 years are up it might be after your other bro is let out of jail.

Join the military. That'll give you 4 years to learn some money and get some college done, before going off and drifting with your brother. Just make sure you sign a four year contract in a job that you know you can do and still be happy about for those 4 years. Do whatever you want,it's your life, enjoy it.

okay I entertained you with question number 3 but 4 is just plain silly. The way things are going you might end up on a rotation to Iraq so I guess you can say that drifting is out.

boy you have high aspirations no wonder this country is going to hell, whats a matter life too challenging that you have to be a drifter. If you go in the military you are giving the military a commitment, drifter dont do commitments, make up your mind

I don't want you in my army. Just start drifting now and save me the time of having to train someone like you, worthless, and let me focus on those who want to be in the army for the right reasons. DON'T JOIN!!!
