I have no clue why we wear high heels...THEY HURT LIKE CRAZY FOR LONG PERIODS! The only reason that I could offer is possibly a line from that She's the Man movie:
"High heels are a male invention to make a girl's butt look smaller...and to make it harder to run"

I am sitting here after having walked around for four hours straight two days in a row and can tell you wholeheartedly, YES. I suppose I'm at this moment a little bias due to the immense amount of discomfort in my feet so I should probably add that if you wear the right shoes then they should only be a little more uncomfortable.

The only real difference between heal shoes and normal shoes is that you have to balance yourself just right and that all of your weight presses down on the front ball of your foot rather than dispersing over your whole foot which in my opinion about halves the time you can comfortably walk in them. Really once you get your balance right in them they're fine.

the original purpose of wearing high heels is to bring in the cat-walk style. you'll find it difficult with a flat one.
but the purpose has now changed and high heels serves as a tool for confidence. when you wear a high heel shoe, you're taller than normal and this builds more confidence in you. and when you show your legs, the seem to be longer. some ladies where it to adjust to their heights.

Because us women like to buy cute shoes, and when you buy cute shoes you want something that coordinates with them. That makes you buy clothes and when you wear your clothes, you wear your shoes. For some reason when I'm wearing high heels I feel that I look nicer. When I've gone to the same hair place with and without heels, I always get better service when I'm wearing heels or nice boots.

High heels make us look and feel taller. It also make our walk more sexier. Yes, sometimes those high heels do hurt, but the trick is to buying and wearing good ones that won't cause any hurt to our feet.

You get used to them after a while. At the law firm I used to work at it was required that you wear high heels and our dress code specifically said "no flat shoes" (unless you had a doctors note). But, it does get old having to walk around on stilts all day.

Why did l use to wear high heels...

Because it made me feel great.....they made me look straighter and taller....and made me look good against the height of the men that l use to date.

It was also a fashion thing too.

l know l use to pay the price for it later on when l finally took them off...but now later as a middle aged woman.....

l realised l shouldnt have even thought about high heels...they have wrecked my legs!!!

It really depends on the persons taste in shoes wheather they are flat or high and it also depends if the person has the right feet to wear high heels, pesonally I like wearing them. I know this very good shoe site called www.samantashoes.com her shoes are very comfortable.

Warning: girly moment coming up.

I like them because they're prettier than flats!

And, they make me taller. I'm the shortest one in my family.

Some hurt, some don't. It really depends on the type of heel, height of heel, and how often you wear them.

High heels are nice but should NOT be worn on over weight women.
