i guess it's ok ...because she is ur girlfriend and you must know her relations with boys...and especially with her Ex...but you also must be careful when u talk such a subject not to pass a private line...cause she might not like to talk with so much pleasure about her Ex...

most girl don't like to talk about that sort of thing with their boyfriends as most times it put a dampener on the relationship

I don't see anything wrong with it...You have the right to know, but be prepared for some of the answers.....Also it helps you to know what she likes and what she doesn't like....You should do the same...Letting her know what you and don't like in the sack...
