To edit an exe file, you can use some editor programs that will allow binary editing. Unless you know what you're doing, you can destroy the .exe file by changing the wrong data within it.

To convert a .exe file into source code, you'll need to Reverse Engineer it. Some programs do exist to do this, but for most commercial programs, doing so is illegal and a violation of their EULA. Reverse engineering a executable file does not always produce a working program.
