When a family has a loved one committed, can they change thier minds and have thier family member changed to a regular facility?

Yes i do believe that you have the right to remove a loved one from one facility to another one of your choose. You could call a lawyer to make sure, cause in some states you may not have that right once you have committed the person to a facility, but i do believe in most states that you have the right to remove your loved one from one facility to another. Just to be on the safe side i would call and just ask an lawyer, most would be more then happy to answer that over the phone.

Each state may be diff. but I do believe once the person is committed, they are in the hands of the facility. Then up to the drs. when they get out.
