I fully agree. If an atheist started banging on about christianity on here they would be torn apart and reported.
Yet they seem to have a go at us for not seeing things their way..almost dictatorship without violence.
I am not saying all of them are the same but I've seen far too many of these little rants about our pathetic athiest excuse for lives to make me quite sick of it.

> "Also i read on one question that the majority rules so christians are right caue 90% of people belive that theory. Well didnt the majory of people thought the world was flat and everything revolved around it. That was incorrect so why cant the majorty be wrong on this?"
How silly. First, most people in the world are not christians. Second, truth isn't decide by majority. Do they think that the day over half the people stopped believing their god would stop existing? Very strange.

It's a matter of the evolution of memes. A meme is a unit of cultural information that is transferrable from one mind to the other. In other words, the little notions we get into our brains, from religion to fashion trends, are, like genes, things that are passed on and replicated - only by brains rather than by sexual reproduction.
A religion that accepts others as being as good and as "right" as they are will die out faster than one that practices exclusivity. One that preaches that the religion is the "one true" religion and that there is a punishment for not agreeing will retain their membership and then also gain other members through tactics of fear and guilt.
This is why it is common, though not always true, that the religious tend to react negatively to other belief systems. There are some religious people that are open and accepting... people that can live and let live.
I find, though, that even the most seemingly tolerant people can suddenly and unexpectedly turn quite belligerent when you disagree with their beliefs however delicately you do so. It's hard to know who will and who won't.
If you would like to know more about memes and memetics, see this article...

Being a Christian myself I believe one thing that so many people don't seem to understand is that no person has the right to judge another. If you want to take the Christian perspective, we've ALL sinned and fell short of the glory of God. That means Christians sin..........therefore do not have the right to judge someone else.
The word Christian is quite broad and there are so many interpretations of it, probably as many as there are religions out there. It really makes me sad that some people somehow interpreted Christianity to the point where they think God wants them to spread hate by condemning those who don't believe...............Would it not be more logical for someone of faith to spread love and live as examples; and instead of judging others, helping others? For someone who is supposed to be representing love, which is what being a Christian is all about, why is it that they are representing hate?
Almost all religions out there are based on the simple fact that there is somekind of greater power or super being that is in control. The majority of this world believes that there IS a God, but what seperates this world into religions is the differing beliefs of who he is; and what his and our purpose is. Now.......this is a more personal belief that I have, but I truly belief that God is far too complex to create such a vast existance but only offer the entire truth of who he really is in one small church in the middle of our universe. I believe true understanding of God can be found in ALL of his creation, and every religion (or at least many of them) have uncovered a certain amount of peices in the epic puzzle of existance. I feel that if we ALL came together with love and acceptance, instead of hate and judgment we could put all our collected peices together to find the truth behind OUR ( as humanity and Gods creation) existance.
I cannot stand the word religion anymore because it seperates this world with hate. The faith I have I do not call my religion, I call it a relationship. And through my personal relationship with the one that created me I will seek his truth through love until the day I die.
I wish all who read this love, and God bless :)

to say that christians settle for atheists, is possibly the most important lie, ever advised. go searching you, study the NGs, and religious forums, the position communicate can happen, and study precisely what christians might want to say about atheists. study what an American vice chairman, a christian, had to say about atheists. Even in this communicate board, the christians opt for us banned. Does that sound like attractiveness to you? Then, of route, you also opt for to evangelise at us, and ask ridiculous questions, providing Blaze Pascal's stupid wager as some style of logical argument. Theists do not settle for us, or a minimum of, American ones do not.

the situation u're going through is not something new.
in fact, even a peaceful multi-racial/religious country has the same uncomfortable situation like what u've experienced.
this's always due to the cause of superiority over others, whether it's religion or a brand of other organization.
for centuries, this has been going on & on, but it has seldom involved an actual atheist in one way or another but rather an antitheist/anti-religion or agnostic.
branding one as an atheist means one would deny any belief of deities & would be equated as an antitheist. religious believers would oppose to that sort of thoughts & some may even be hateful in provoking the disbelief to their own religion by atheists in that sense.
but an atheist that's not antitheist doesn't really exist, in fact, even atheist too. many atheists are actually agnostic or irreligious. this's especially true for your case, ur tolerance to religious believers implies that u're not an atheist at all.
in that approach, it's always the oppoturnity of not branding urself in a way that may cause dismay or disgrace to others. tolerance in belief is not always achievable w/o giving others to be completely opened & be optional.
though, this has nothing wrong w/ the religion but rather caused by human in getting their own superiority over another, i.e. mine's always better than urs. this leads to the conflict of not accepting one from another. this especially true when a religion vs atheism, because religion has a longer history & wider basis of coverage over many stuffs but atheism has unconclusive debatable/argumentative views of the world.
try to be as acceptable as possible in their view while lessen the debate & argument with religious people will always work. IMHO, it's meaningless to brand urself as an atheist while an religion-toleranting atheist doesn't exist & ur branding will make urself enemy to them, it's also good that perhaps giving a wider approach to other religous people & hopefully, u'll've better experience which u can see that there's nothing wrong with the religion but rather the people u're dealing with is not tolerating to u in ur branding of urself being an atheist.
p.s. i'm not sure from where u've seen the question of "atheist & other religions r wrong but christian", but such debatable topic is always of interest of the orthodox christian & it's actually not for an open debate w/ other nonbelievers & that'd actually diabolic to the harmony w/in.

Apparently Christians accept athiests if most of your friends are Christians. Christians can accept athiests. I have many friends too who are athiests, even my daughter, but I don't agree with their beliefs and I am not going to say that I do. You say you accept their religion, that is not true. If you are an athiest you don't accept Christian theology or religion. You may accept the people, but you don't accept what they believe.

Really? Where is that question about being a satan worshipper? Most of the insulting, offensive questions I see on here are from Atheists - just look at the Religion section now for a quick glimpse and count the anti-Christian questions verses the anti-Atheist ones... I think you'll be surprised. Heck - look at the answers you're getting to this question...
I completely believe everyone is free to believe what they wish, that is the whole point of this life - we get to decide once and for all whether we are going to serve God or to serve something else: ourselves, money, career, sex, etc. The choice is yours.
But remember, whoever sins is a slave to sin, who or whatever you serve will end up being your master. Do you want God to be your master (he is a kind and gentle and humble in heart) or do you want to serve your own appetites which will end up destroying you?

1st; I commend you for admitting that atheism is in fact a religion to itself because it is in fact a belief system. 2nd; if by acceptance you mean love -as the Bible descibes it- then yes Christians should accept you for who you are. Some times Christians do tend to go overboard when confonted by someone who proclaims to be atheist. This is merely because, in most cases, of our genuine concern about your eternal well being. As to the rest of your question: The Bible itself teaches that any belief outside of true Biblical Christianity is Satanic in origin and it also commands Christians to expose false teachings, defend our faith and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I only ask that you don't paint all Christians with the same brush
PS. Actually true Christianity is no longer in the majority in North America. If this was the case you wouldn't see North America in the state of moral decay and violence in which it currently exists.

you can't lump all christians together and say we are all unaccepting of other religions or lack thereof. i'm a christian but i can i can honestly say that as long as i'm respected as a person by others and not just by my religion, then i will sure as heck will do others the same curtesy!! we need to learn to get along as people not religions, then there will nothing to hold against eachother.
