my gf left me today from an incident that happened last night, I am calling her tonight to talk to her as we are remaining friends, I am thinking that MAYBE just MAYBE we can get back together but she doesn't think we can I dont think she does anyway...I love(d) her with all my heart and I will always care about her even if we cant get back together, I am just wondering though how long I should wait before dating again if we dont get back together again?? because she was my life, my world, my everything and I could/still can tell her anything that is wrong in my life, I can confide alot in her I just dont know how long to wait if we dont get back together again...so any ideas would be appreciated..

Depends on your heart. i would say take it slow. When we do this like go out the next week with someone, we question if we feel love or not. I did this and man i am wondering why. I think of the previous girl and then i question if i think this about my new girl or not. I wonder if I loved the previous girl better though she was not what i wanted.I would also say, a break up hurts so just wait for the heart to heal or it will go numb. don't get to attached in a relationship as we can love and not get loved back. then when someone gets mad its over, if she loved u then were did that LOVE go? U know what i am saying. Look at my question. I wonder why her love towards me went away and if she had it to begin with. Well mate that is all i can say

Girls are very diplomatic. they know what they are doing, but they won't tell you. She doesn't love you. Period. She cares about you, but not in the romantic way. You should move on with your life. Find a girl who is willing to share her life/love completely with you, and only you. You will find out it feels so much better when your love can get a positive return

Hmm.....you sound like she meant a lot to you, and yet here you are asking about the appropriate etiquette on how long you should wait to move on...
The answer is simplistically deceptive, wait until you are ready to date again. If you are ready now, starting dating now, if the pain is too near, wait a while.
