The glass is cracked and no pieces are missing, but the keyboard is completely apart. There were about 30 little keys less than 1/4" round each, and 5 big ones. All the metal in the background is missing. A picture of the phone is at http://www.palm.com/us/products/smartphones/treo650/ I am worried about the buttons and the rough edges of the metal- what should I watch for and for how long?

Shouldn't you be worried more about the puppy?

All the metal is missing? That's what would worry me. Watch for blood in the feces and if your dog starts to act oddly (not eating or not eating so much and or drinking lots more). Also might worry about the liquid from the liquid crystal display as you mentioned that was cracked. I was rather interested to see the actual unit :-) Not just a picture of it. lol
Edit: Obviously your worried about the rough edges hurting the puppy. Nobody else seems to have gotten that.

Mine just turned 1, she's about 65 lbs. It's hard to give you an answer, I free feed. I just fill her bowl up in the morning and she grazes during the day. (She never eats it all, it's a really big bowl) Sometimes you can do this with an older dog, but I found it is best to start the minute you get them home. I am guessing her bowl holds about 10 cups, she eats about 5 cups throughout the day. The only other thing I do, is, add 1 tablespoon of a GOOD quality canned food, in the morning. My Lab is obviously not fat, and she never over eats. Hope this was somewhat helpful.

Go to te vet and just ask questions. Dogs are crazy though. My dog once literally ate a razor blade. We found it in it's feces... and we were shocked. He's a similar breed and was almost the exact same age, so I wouldnt be surprised if you find part of you're phone in the backyard pretty soon.

I think he'll be fine, but I guess it's best to keep an eye on him and play it safe.

Whenever you see a piece laying around pick it up and throw it out! And check if the poor puppy is ok!

Go take your puppy to the vet, so they can remove them from his digestive system, the metal might block his smal intestine.

TAKE HIM TO THE VET!

Be on the lookout for blood in his stool or pee. Otherwise, you should be okay after a normal 2 days and no sightings of blood.

hey, bring your pet to the vet. your 6 month old puppy's stomach may not be able to withstand such foreign object he swallowed if he did, and it might lead to further complications. and stop leaving such delicate stuff around. as the owner you have the responsibility to protect your pet. -_-

maybe you should have had it in a secure area. you might want to take the puppy to the vet. If it doesn't pass then it could die

I would be more worried about the puppy than your phone.
