First of all I would like to ask a questions to Christians. Are atheists that rude? I know some of them are, you just feel like punching them out. How rude are they to you. I have just heard this rude person on this system saying that the Guy he works with is a Christians and called him a loser because he wears a cross to work and wants him sacked. What I bloody joke. And now you atheists, a question for you. How rude are the Christians to you? Do they threaten you with hell all the time, and do they come across to your face holy than thou art attitude? I cannot stand that either. Don't you feel like punching them out? I am a Christian but guess what I do not act holy than thou art. I am still a sinner, and still sin. I still swear, and I know I shouldn't but it is a habit, and I still have arguments with my mother sometimes. And any Christian that came up to me and told me off for that, I would tell them where to go. I cannot stand rude atheists and I cannot stand up yourself

Christians either. They both suck. So Christians and atheiets (how ever you spell the dam thing) how do you see other people treat you? Is it just America, as I live in Australia and have not had anybody persecute me for my faith, not one. I guess I live in a much better country. America is too over populated, so more people, the more rude people right? I have found Americans to be up themselfs, not all, but a large majority. So is it just the septics?

Just how deluded are you, Leanne? Do you think about what you write and say? Or does it all just pour out?
The person you have described here is YOU.
You refuse to debate with me unless I agree FIRST that I am wrong.
You are a sad, sad woman, who clearly needs someone who lives in the real world with whom to talk.
I am remembering you in my meditations.

I want to go to Australia. You guys still have all that wide open country. You are blessed.
The Holy Spirit would condemn me if I were to be holier than thou. He has taught me that but for God's grace go I.
I'm American as well.
Sin every day. Don't get me wrong I try to do better and spend time everyday asking God to bring my character flaws to light and then remove them.
I think a lot of Christians today in this country are born naturally into Christianity and we know it is a rebirth. Honestly I am not sure but I am sure that some of us are disappointing our merciful Lord. It is very sad and perhaps you guys over there could pray for us over here. Maybe that will help.

Well, this kind of question and answer forum isn't exactly the best dialgue between groups. It's too easy (and, ok, fun sometimes lol) to just leave your one smarta$$ remark to a question you think is either dumb or insulting.
Have I been threatened with hell? Here? I haven't been here long, but, on other message boards... well yeah, daily. In real life? A few times, but, I'm not really all that outspoken about my atheism (and, once by a screaming street preacher who had it in for everyone... including nuns at the Catholic Uni I went to!)

Except for on this site, I have never met rude, offensive atheists.
I don't think they're helping their case any by ridiculing Christians, especially since a lot of them complain that Christians ridicule them. Here, some members of both groups are hypocrites. I have never had such difficulty having a structured, intelligent discussion in all my time on-line.
I am American, and even I find Americans rude. Though we are not all like that, many of us have an unjustified sense of entitlement.

Christians (and other religions, as well) come up and casually start talking to me like I already am a Christian. They say things like "Aren't you grateful for what God has blessed you with today?" Well, I suppose I would be if he blessed me with anything special, but no, today I feel rather ignored. They immediately spit out threats of being destroyed by "Soldiers of the Lord" (not all of them, by the way, but more than a few). I don't walk around telling religious folk that they're not going anywhere when they die =/ I defend myself, but I really wish it would stop.
I am not an atheist, or a Christian.. more of a lost agnostic, I guess.

YAHOO ANSWERS seems to attract a rude group of individuals. I am an American Christian. I hope that you are not as upset as you sound. It is true that "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD." HE is the ALMIGHTY! Our GOD is awesome. I seldom say or do things that I am not supposed to do. I pray as often as I possibly can. I pray in the morning (when I arise), in the evening (before bedtime), prior to each meal, and as I feel that I really need to talk with the FATHER. This makes me feel closer to HIM. I do not get on here to be "Holier than thou", I get on here to answer young people's questions. I hope that you are feeling better. Have a great weekend!

Leanne,
I to am an Australian and have never faced religion conflict anywhere in Australia.
Yahoo Answers has definitely showed the ugly side of religion and Americans to me also.
It has caused me to question many people on here also and their beliefs
I think Australian is definitely the lucky country still

The christians tyr to force their beliefs on the Atheists. Maybe the atheists are tired of it?
Ever stop to think that if you were being told something you don't believe every day because of peer pressure, you would want to retaliate too? I would. I don't like being talked down on.
