Someone mentioned that Jesus himself never proclaimed he was the SAVIOR who died for our sins but that the disciples are the ones that said that.

If this accurate? If Jesus DID say this, can you point me to any biblical verses that support this?

Thank You

D.

Jesus never said, "I am the Savior." He said,

(John 14:1-7)

1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

I believe he was speaking only to his disciples and was not proclaiming to be the way to Heaven for all men, for all time.

Luke 19:10 "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost."
John 3:17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

These are both spoken by Jesus.

He had a Christed mind; meaning the TRUTH of who is Great Mystery(GOD) and Jesus, created relationship to his Creator. Humanity was put on this Physical Plane so that each persons Soul would learn to rely on Godly relationship with his creator.just as we learn to trust in God. Jesus (Immanuel) taught that Mankind is One with its Creator. Jesus(Immanuel) taught listeners to keep a distance from RELIGION and be One with The Father. Scripture reads; I am God and there is No Other like Me"
The Real Christianity per history was persecuted by the Vatican for 400 yrs. In the meanwhile the scriptures were manipulated by the Vatican. to take TRUTH and personal SPIRITUAL power from individuals and make historical TRUTH accessed by the Holy Roman Church.

Did you know that the name "Jesus" in Hebrew is "Yeshua" which means "salvation"?

Jesus said he was the good shepherd. He said he would give up his life for his "sheep" (that's us) And that's exactly what he did, he died so we would be forgiven. (John 10:1-21)

Look at Matthew 26:28, Mark 14:24, Luke 22:20 where Jesus said that his blood will be shed for the forgiveness of sins.

Yes, He did. I invite you to read the 4 gospels, as well as the book of Acts, the first 3 chapters for your self. It is always best to seek answers your self as opposed to listening only to what someone else has to say. This is a major fault with the denominations today. The people rely on "preacher said" as opposed to reading and studying for themselves.

Jesus testified to the woman of Samaria at the well that he was the Messiah...
He also read a passage about the Messiah from Isaiah in the synagogue, and then told them that the scripture was fulfilled.

Try reading scripture for yourself to see that being "Savior" meant that He fulfilled every test/prophesy set before Him. Not only did he state that he was the Son of the Creator, but allowed His actions to reiterate it daily, through His death and resurrection. Not many people can claim that.

Brother, you need to go to either bible gateway or blue letter bible web sites and do a word search for"believes" and then read all the bible versus that are found with this word and then you will be able to answer this question yourself. This always the best answer...to be able to find the answer yourself otherwise, you maybe misled.

John 10;15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
