whats it like not knowing answers to questions like what is truth? what is the meaning of life? who created me? i cant really imagine not knowing and haivng the peace God gives me, can you please let me in on what you have to deal with everyday , or do you just not think about it ?

Yes, I am a non believer because I do not believe as you do.
I believe the only truth anyone can know is their own not anyone elses.
I assign meaning to my life based on my experience.
I know my mother and father created me.
And I know people who lack imagination bore me.

It's not that i don't think about it but I can tell you it's not an issue for me. God gives me no peace, the idea of god gives me no peace. I don't wonder about the same things as you obviously. There are no questions to answer regarding "truths". The truth is I'm happy to live another day with the people I love and know right now. I can't imagine for one second, some super being that created all of us really sending me to "hell" for eternity for living the life that I've lived because the after life is not my priority. Maybe you should get on with your life and get over the fact that people disagree with you. You are no better than any terrorist out there who is willing to die for their religion if you are willing to put people down for not being on "your side". True conservatives know that we as Americans have the right to believe whatever the hell we want whenever we want. Do sardines wonder what the meaning of life is?

1) We actually DO KNOW the answers to questions like what is truth.
2) We do actually know what the meaning of life is.
3) There's no 'WHO', no 'creator' as you call it;) Science is the key to the original source; Life on Earth was brought from outer space; how did that very initial energy originate? Don't think you can understand it, so, no point in sharing with you a knowledge you wouldn't understand (no offense); 'For those who have ears to hear....';) that's how we passed on our knowledge from generation to generation, and we're not compelled to share what we know with those who have no ears to hear;)
4) if you can't imagine it, then, that's YOUR problem and limit too;) everyday we deal with the same things anybody deals with my friend; human beings have an incredible inner strenght, and that strenght for us,Atheists, simply comes from inside; we live in peace and harmony with the rest of the universe without needing any God, as easy as that.
5) We think a lot my friend, more that many believers do;) we're seekers, and we have many more answers than you do;) Peace.

I m not giving you an answer but i'll simply share with you what was in mind.
Coz the weird thing is that i was thinking of the same issue 2 days ago and i got really sad.
I ll tell what conclusion i reached,well i really really believe that the meaning of life CANNOT be the simple life we are living which includes good health friends money etc.. life will have no meaning if there was no God and if we were created by chance.
I know that with God i 'll find true happiness ,peace and value although i cannot yet say that i found them constantly but sometimes i do and sometimes not which keeped me wonder if what i experienced was an illusion coz it doesnt last.
So now i m stuck in a position where i know God is my only way ,truth,reason for my life and any otherthing is not, but i really cannot determine if im experiencing it or no,how life with God should be ,what should i feel when im with Him? what does He want us to be?am i really having a true relationship with God or it 's an illusion?
So what i found is that god do really provide us with peace and all i need is just to have faith in him no matter is my thoughts or feelings and i need to remember what he did for me and not do as jews did when God got them from egypt when they complained about food..etc although He had just saved them.adn i got really depressed when i find that i did like them many many times
So my answer is that YES God is the meaning of life ,he created us and He really deserves to live for and it is not a waste of time even if people said so, but i know that all normal things people live for do not really provide satisfaction i need .
And what i m trying to do is that not to forget Who is god and what he can do
Also a friend of mine told me a new thing that i m currently thinking of which is that we need to ask for god not only forf peace he gives but simply because he deserves that.

Yes this is my hot topic, sure I think a lot about it; this is a human flaw that we don't know the story behind the facts around us, there are plenty of things we are yet have to explore in the coming future. Keep living is the essence of life. Concept of god, religion, fear, happiness etc. that's all what called a human being. I don't believe in god anymore although I am Muslim by birth. What is the demand of our soul is keep thinking, keep suffering and finally keep living.

What is truth? Truth is what is right by your conscience.
What is the meaning of life? There is no specific or fixed meaning. Humans and every other living thing are here to keep their respective species going.
Who created me? Well, my parents, though I wouldn't use the term 'created'. If you mean who created the human race, then there is no such thing as humans are products of evolution.

As I see it, life doesn't have any inherent meaning. The only meaning in my life is the meaning I give it through creative endeavors or by touching the lives of those around me. There's no eternal damnation in store if I'm a selfish, horrible person, but *I* aspire to higher things and enjoy the feeling of being around good people much more than the short-sighted fleeting pleasure of being a jerk.

its better not to know the truth. once you do, it ruins the mystery of life. wouldnt you rather imagine a bunch of possibilities. thats why there are so many religions, so many perspectives. we will never know but the mystery is exciting. the truth may not always be the happiest. don't think about it too much, just enjoy life and experience all that it gives.

What is truth is simple to answer: Truth is what exists and can't be denied. 2+2=4 is true.
As for the meaning of life, creation, and all that stuff, non-believers don't claim to know the answers to any of that. They simply just don't know. It's not that hard to comprehend. You probably don't know what my grandmother's name is, so imagine that but replace my grandmother's name with the meaning of life and you get the same experience.

I never have to feel like a fool full of drivel or absurdities...
The pagans thought much the same but no answer is far better than a bad one.the meaning of like is to makes the best of it and enjoy it . No one has ever been created and I don't need an imaginary god to get by ....I've more to believe in than fantasies.
