I got mine done professionally over the summer. It is pretty painful, i would think it would be way more painful if you did it yourself. They are really quick about it. Tell your hubby he should go with you. That way he can see everything that is happening. They mark the spots of entry and exit for the needle, then you chech that they are even and you like the placement, then they clamp one nipple and stick the needle through then insert the jewelry, and repeat on the other side. If you go to a shop bringing your hubby would be a good idea anyway because you'll need to squeeze his hand. I had my sister with me.

How about going to a Doctors' office to have it done-?

You could go to the shop and maybe buy the equipment to do it, then take it to a Dr. to do the actual piercing.

Because, if You don't pierce it in the proper manner, You may run into problems,....eg: loss of some sensitivity, excessive bleeding, infection...etc.

Why would you want to do that? It's not hot when scabby crust is coming out of your piercings, and that is even after they're healed. Eventually your nipples get slits in them from the heavy rings (even the light rings do it) and seat belts always hurt from then on too. I'm an ex-pierced dude.

how old are you anyway? your husband cant tell you what to do like that. but maybe he knows better, and maybe he doesnt want some guy to touch your boobs... get a girl at a shop to do it.

My bf had his pierced as a teen and I really like it :) He says it didn't hurt but he's a guy, you know. Women's nipples might be more sensitive...

Don't do it. It could not be done without a local anasthetic, it would be too painful, and you could get an infection.
