Where can I download something like Microsoft Visio for free?

I have to make a flowchart with Microsoft Visio for one of my classes.

I don't want to buy the freakin software since I won't use it for anything but this one class.

Can anyone recommend a safe place where I can dowload something similar for free?

Goto Download.com and put flowchart in the search area and you will gwt alot of programs to choose from.

You can download OpenOffice is like Microsoft office but is free and you can make flowcharts using draw (program of openoffice)
