Hi there,
Steve D is correct, There are 4 screws holding the trim in place 2 screws beneath the ashtray and if you look just above the radio you will find another 2 screws, remove these and then pull the trim outwards and remember the switches are still connected for the hazards and rear window demistor. You can then manage to remove the 4 screws which hold the radio in place, 2 either side. Then at the rear of the set there are the plugs for power and speaker wires which are easily removed and finally the plug for the aerial.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Nissan Almera Radio Removal

Its a while since I've done an almera but generally Nissans you need to remove the trim surrounding the radio first. Take out the ashtray, then there are usually 2 screws top and 2 screws bottom holding the trim in. They are a bit hidden so you need to look for them. Then pull the trim off. The radio is held in by 4 more screws.

Yes you can remove it...for best results..use a chainsaw. Or take it to a car install specialist at a store like Circut City, Best Buy or Car Toys and have them do it professionally.
