how Christians believe? If you don't believe that way then fine but why spend SO MUCH of your time and anger lashing out at them? Just believe what you do and hope you are right in the end !

Again, as I have said, there should be a "God haters and Christian bashers " section on Y/A so the Religion and Spirituality can be left to people with real questions about Religion and spirituality.
As for me, I do not like the terms religious or spiritual as it is thought of today. I am a Christian, a follower of Christ who has changed my life.
I do not understand what the motivation is to get on this site and vent mockery and hatred toward a loving God and people who choose to surrender to that love and live a better life with hope.

You must be new here. I am not Christian, and I don't have a problem with the Christians beliefs. There are however quite a few Christians (not all) who have a problem with the way others believe. They constantly tell others on this forum they are going to burn in Hell, rather than just believing what they do and not lashing out at the "non-believers". It has worked both ways here on Y!A.

Most of us don't have a problem with how Christians believe. The problem is the fanatical element within Christianity that feels the need to brow beat anyone who doesn't worship their way.

A goodly portion of the "non-believers" here were raised Christian and have chosen to find our way to the Divine another way. It is irritating to have people insist that you know nothing about the Christian Bible, or that your interpretation is wrong if you are not a Christian, some of us get tired of holding back is all.

Nice hair. Maybe I should go red. The reason is because everyone thinks they have the truth. Doesn't anyone like to hear anything different than what they have already been told and believe is the truth, even if one has scriptures to back it up. But can't everyone have the truth, cause Jesus said that there is but ONE truth. I try to look for the religion that is doing the will of God, and I haven't found too many doing that.

It's a simple world in which you live, isn't it Kitty. With a mysterious all powerful deity watching over you and keeping a place for you when you die. A kind loving family unit with a clearly stated set of moral rules by which to live. Children with just the right amount of fear and knowledge in their hearts and minds to keep them under the yoke of Christianity. As they say, ignorance sure is bliss and you and you're Christian brethren are ignorance personified.

Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.

It is my purpose to teach people to live better and more effectively, which they can do if they learn how to think, and don't waste time and effort on religion. No one who has really thought well and carefully can believe in any religion, but most people have neither the time nor the intellectual horsepower to do so. So I try to help.

Actually Kit, there's way more Xtians damning atheists to hell then there are nonbelivers ridiculing believers.

Which is weird because Xtians are taught that Jesus was the way of tolerance and love. Guess actions speak far louder than words.

Do you mean all Christians?

Okay....so long as you tell them all that they have to be nice to me if I ask a question about Jesus or God or the Bible.

As soon as the Christians stop trying to force their beliefs down everyone's throat via legislation, I'll leave them alone.
