Wide angle covers a wide area. A teleconverter will usually double the lens power. So, if you have a 50mm lens then a converter will usually double it. They come in different powers. I have one that's1.6x and another that is 2x. The 2 is most common. The 50mm lens is pretty much the way the eye sees it. Lower numbers are wide, and vice versa. Hope this helps.
