They'll say homosexuals should just pretend they're heterosexuals and spend their entire lives that way.
I wonder, if god wanted them to pretend they're homosexual and spend their entire lives that way, would they be able to do it?

Did you realised that gays are actually very talented people. Most of them are either designer, doctor, born rich or something. Some clubs turned Sunday into gay nite because that 1 Sunday they make more then the 6 days that they have. Bottom line is that they are talented and they should used their talent wisely. Don't just look at the negative side. You will see that gay are really having the upper hand then most of us. About their sexual desires, I believe it's all up in the mind. They have always been special so I guess it's another form of showing their different. God made you and given you a choice. You can always love a women, try it because like I said you have the gift.

How you ACT is a choice...who you love is not.
You are absolutely correct - homosexuality is not a disease to be cured or a mistake with a fault.
I've often wondered why fundamentalists of so many of man's religions have such a problem with homosexuality in general. It's not like it's something new. I mean really, historically there have been countless leaders who were homosexual (Alexander the Great comes to mind just off the top of my head).
If the hatred and bigotry weren't so sad, it would be kind of satirically comical, don't you think?

Whether homosexuality is a choice or not is debatable at minimum. Personally I think it is a choice. So, to answer your question, God is not responsible.
It falls under the freewill category. People are born with all types of sinful tendencies, but it is up to them, whether or not they act on those tendencies.
Some people have a natural tendency to be liars, thieves, sexually perverse, murderous, deceitful, glutonous, arrogant, etc. -- and the Christian walk by faith gives each person the capacity to overcome these sinful tendencies.
But, yes, first you must believe there is a God, and not dismiss the notion of God, as to further one's own self interest. It's like trying to bend the universe to suit your purpose. It's just not possible. The universe is set the way it is, and we either conform to that or not.

I don't think a gay person has any more choice in being gay than people have about what sex they are born. I mean, yeah, if God demanded it I could get a sex change operation by why would a loving God that created me want me any different than he made me naturally?
You guys argue that a homosexual has the choice not to act on their gay instincts, but they can't help having those instincts in the first place. Why would God torture them like that?

Actually, environment plays a part in homosexuality too. Maybe we could blame God for the enviroment He created to "invoke" homosexuality as well

It's not easy to deny the flesh what it wants and that would be the price for any homosexual. The path to God is a narrow one. Don't blame me I'm only telling you what I know.

I don't blame God for that... it is not his doing. But honestly, homosexuality is nothing to blame anyone for... it's just a sexual preference and so long as it does not infringe upon the well being of others than it's perfectly fine.

Homosexuality IS a choice. You have a choice, no matter what people tell you. If that were true, the Bible would say so. Instead it condemns homosexuality. But, that said, a person has a right to be whatever he or she wants to be. If a person is a homosexual, that is between him/her and God and no one else. None of us have the right to judge.
