She broke up with me. She says that she wants me to see another girl and then get back together with her. I dont know what to say. I dont want anyone else. She says she wont get with another guy. This is/was my first girlfriend. Shes had 2 before. I dont understand whats going on. Is she trying to get me to see another woemn so she can get a new guy? She said thats not it though. Its breaking my heart and I dont know what to do. Should I say enough with this?

There could be two things happening here. One is manipulation. She could be seeing just how much she has you wrapped around her little pinky. This would not be a good thing. Why would you want someone who treats you second best? You would become her "back-up" guy when she can't be with her first choice. The second thing is insecurity on her part. Why did her two prior relationships end? Did the guy cheat on her? Did he dump her for someone else? If so, she could just be seeing if you are going to be like the "other guys." Still, don't become the one who pays for other guys' sins toward her if this is the case. You should make it clear that you if you two are broken up you have no intention of ever getting back with her. You should also make it clear to her that you don't plan to date just because she wants you to and that if and when you date again it will be your choice to do so. This will either call her on her insecurity or you will know that she is just trying to manipulate you. If it is insecurity she will cry and fess up and not break up with you, if it is manipulation, she may or may not cry, but she will insist on breaking up with you still not fully explaining why she feels the need to break up with you in the first place. As far as your heart, just let it mourn if she does break up with you. Let it heal and don't rush into anything with another girl. Find something else that makes you happy and do things for yourself so that when you meet the right girl, you will have a healthy heart to offer her.

Maybe she just needed some space. If you really want to be with her, I say talk to her about it and see why she really broke up with you, because I don't think she would really want you to see another girl. Unless she wanted to see another guy. I hope you two figure things out, Good Luck!!!

It's possible that she wants to see you with another woman so she'll get jealous and come back to you. She'd only do that if she felt like she wasn't really into you anymore. Why would you want to stay with a girl who tells you to date other people? Doesn't really sound like paradise to me. You don't need this.

She probably already is interested in another guy and does not want to tell you that, so instead she tells you to get with another girl so she does not feel as guilty.
She wants to see other people and is no longer interested in being your girlfriend.

Have you asked her why she wants you to see another woman AND THEN get back with her? It sounds a little shady to me...like she wants to see other people...or no offense, but she might think that you're inexperienced.

I think she feels guilty and feels like she is holding you down because she is your first girlfriend. She wants you to experience other relationships before being tied down in a serious relationship.
Just tell her how you seriously feel, let her know. I think she just cares about you and she is being selfless in letting you date other girls so you can see if y'all are really meant to be.
