Nope Thats the exact opposite definition they do not beleive in a higher power. Some people apply that they all think evoulution is fact and blah blah blah but there idiots. Although im an atheist and i do think evoultion is most liekly true the only thing atheist means is a disbeleif in god.

No only people who may have power over us such as legal and political. Nothing supernatural. Except Vampires of course every one has to deal with those dreadful things. Thank God we have the Goths to keep them under control. If the Goths didn't lure the homeless to their covens so they could feed they would be out praying on every one. As it is they keep the streets clean and solve the homeless problem for us while at the same time keeping the Vampires under control. xx

Atheists believe all different sorts of things. The only thing we all have in common is a lack of belief in the existence of any deities. I don't know how you are defining "higher power"--if it is referencing a deity, then no. If it is referencing something else, perhaps such as karma, then there are probably atheists somewhere who believe in it.

It's covered up but, every year world governments receive approx. 1000 UFO reports from reliable military and airline pilots. They all can't be weather phenomenon or the US Government testing mysterious aircraft. If they can get to our planet and we can't get to theirs, they are a higher power. If biblical people saw a UFO did they call it such or did they call it god?

No, that means they don't believe in a higher power.
They may if they're agnostic but that's not the same thing.

Uhh.... NO.
We don't believe in any god.
However, that does not mean we don't believe in the power of human interaction to help change one another.
If you're going to A.A., that may be enough of an external power to help you remain sober.
