I'm shocked at how some people think. There isn't anything magical about turning 18, except that it's legal for you to do some things that weren't legal before. The same thing goes for turning 21. Do people honestly think that having the 17 year old girl wait until she's 18 will make her THAT much more mature? Sure, the right thing to do would be to take things slow so as not to get the dude in trouble. But to say that he's taking advantage of the situation . . . that's kinda silly if you ask me. If this were a 25 or 30 year old, then that would be different. But 20 . . . that's a 3 year difference tops.

Personally I am 17. and I dont see why its matters. Now my boyfriend is 23 and we have a really great relationship. It really depends on the guy and how he acts. If the guy is a perv he is looking for sex and jail time most likley. But in some situations, sometimes it works out and you find yourself very happy Like me. Im very happy with my boyfriend and That is that.

Well, he must be on an ego trip, but he should know better. He is the adult there, so that means he is taking advantage of the situation. If he truly cares for the girl he will wait until she is of legal age, and gave her the opportunity to grow up and meet young people her age. Just think, when she is 18 he will only be 21 and it will be more acceptable and not seen as a pedophile. So why not wait. If he truly cares for her, he will wait.

innocence, easily manipulated, property, and marriage so he can keep her for himself forever. Atleast that's what I was to my 20 year old boyfriend when i was 17.

a realtionship all i can say its just a number it does not matter what age you are. That one of first convs i had with my boyfriend (now 8 months later) he is 28 and im 21 bigger diffence.... but it just a NUMBER if he Loves her and she loves him that all that matters nothing else
