If it is their god then they would not want to displease him by saying that. If it is not their god then why would they say "Oh MY God" instead of "Oh YOUR God"? Atheists say "Oh MY God" who are they talking about, their god, they don't have a god?

Well its a habit much like f u c k or s h i t the words make no since when applied to most situations but they sure do let out your frustration.

Exactly...Using the word 'How' to begin your questions only leaves a couple of answers...with their mouths, writing it down, signing it with their hands. That's 'how' they say it...now as to why they say that...? Because they do not know Him.

It's a colloquialism. In a similar vein, people often say "oh crap" even if no feces is present in the situation.
