you are in Christ? If so please explain.

This is an honest to goodness Bible question, nothing mystical or tricky. I know who I am In Christ, just wondering if others know who they are in Christ also.

A new creation: forgiven and beloved of God. Called to be a child of God. Whee!

Yes. Sounds mystical. I hope it makes you feel good. Please be careful. These kinds of abstract notions not grounded in reality enable dangerous fantasies to take the place of real Christianity.

For example, Jesus was a man. As such, Jesus is dead. We are not really in him. He is not in us. We can't talk to Him. He can't answer us. Not really. Not unless he were to be physically reconstituted.

I believe we can talk to God, but I have no idea what that means because I have no idea what a God of a 14 billion light year Universe might be. He won't ever answer me, I hope. If I do hear voices, I'll go see a Doctor about my schizophrenia. Talking to Jesus is even more problematical. He doesn't answer either, luckily.

What I can do is God's will. I find that's a lot of hard work. Maybe people want to skip the hard work and just assume that any idea that pops into their head is God's will just because, say, they happen to be reading the Bible or reciting a prayer. Well, it may be God's will for them; that's not for me to say. OTOH, it could also be a lie, and you know who is the father of lies. I think we have to be careful about these fantasy things.

Jesus said God will be there for us if we do what we are supposed to do. What else do we need. If we focus on being "In Jesus" when God wants us to do some dirty dishes, we are not doing God's will IMHO. Which reminds me ...

I've wondered for a very long time what my calling was. I would pray and ask what God wanted from me. I had so many talents that could be used for Him and His kingdom. And all through the years I've gotten the same answer. I have finally accepted it. lol I am to worship Him. Praise Him. Live my life for Him. So, with His help, that's what I do daily. I am a servant in Christ Jesus.

I am a sinner saved by Grace. If we are Christians we all are saved by God's grace. He loves us and wants us to live through Him so we can be with Him in heaven when our life here on earth is finished. We need to study his word, set a Christian example for others, and do what ever we can to help and encourage everyone that we meet.

In Christ, I am holy and acceptable to God.

Without him, I am eternally and irrevocably lost.
