Well I kinda like that fellow with the long hair and deep brown eyes who is going around healing people and talking about the Kingdom of God. He seems like He knows something. And He also appears to be very tolerant and loving. I really do like Him. I think I would like to be like Him when I grow up.

King Josiah. When he was remodeling the palace, they came across some old books of the law. He realized that they had badly fallen away from what God intended for them. He did what a good king should - although politically very incorrect, he did away with all the temples to false gods, and the priests to the false gods. The bible doesn't tell much else about what he did - maybe he had a short life. With being politically incorrect and all, I figure his political career wouldn't last.

But he honored God, and God saw to it that he'd get a little write-up in His book. Pretty cool I think.

I named my son Josiah after this king.

If you ever see the Clint Eastwood movie "The Outlaw, Josie Wales", the lead character is also named Josiah. Because he continues to fight the good fight because it's the right thing to do.

The serpent. When god lied to his creation concerning the consequences of eating the fruit, the serpent is the one who told the truth: Genesis 3:2-5 2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "

4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
