this is a skin related question. what is something that pops up like chicken pox but its not, it has a crusty thin white scab. when you scrap the top off it is red underneath? ointment is not helping.

When i was small i hated skin diseases i know some of them but i'm not from england or america to answer this question.Go ask somebody that works with skin diseases

there are a great number of diseases that can cause this. A common one in young people is impetago (see http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/impetigo.html )

Staph infections will often do the same thing as will allergic reactions to any number of things.

Seeing a doctor is prob in order

Sounds like psoriasis, but could be just dry flakey skin from winter. Try to moisturize first. .
