Is it in the Bible? What is the point? Why only men?

Don't get me wrong, they are super comfy! Just wondering the meaning to it.

Blessings and Shabbat Shalom!

Hiya David!

the reason for wearing it is it is to remind the Jews (Messianics too) that God is always covering us, watching over us, and protecting us

did you have a Shabbat Shalom? i know i did =]

I don't know where it says it, but in Judaism, you are supposed to cover your head when praying (or is it when in a place of worship?) Catholics used to do this until relatively recently, and Muslims still do this today as well, though it may be less of a requirement for men and more like a good deed.
